Agreed. Type F is among the worst for lubrication quality also.


So, Ford transmissions are failing left and right from lack of lubrication? My anecdotal experience says otherwise.

I've run Type F for years in 727s. Even ran the B&M TrickShift fluid but stopped buying it after I met a gentleman who worked for B&M that told me not to waste my money on TrickShift fluid. Said it was only Type F with a couple of additives and a color change, and regular Type F worked just as well.

When I got the Charger back on the road, I went on the race board and asked about fluid since I had been out of the hot rod game for 20 yrs. or so. Most everyone recommended Type F from Walmart. Been in it ever since with no problems. up
