I disagree. I've never used type F in a non Ford trans. Just use Dexron, that is what it was designed to use. Type F was a bandaid for another Ford screwup. 4-5 quarts should be plenty.
Agreed. Type F is among the worst for lubrication quality also. It’s not the hot ticket.
If the fluid looks bad and pan has material inside then drain the converter and replace most of the fluid. Buy a case.
