good used 70's OE dist, dial in the total (slots) with the FBO $22 plate, the springs, a cap with brass terminals/ribs, check rotor phasing, reduce rotor to cap terminal clearance to 0.015". reduce lower shaft axial play to .005". all this is easier than it sounds. A '75 up OE black HEI module from a junkyard. An Accell super coil, the big yellow beast or a full 12V coil such as the CFD478 at rockauto ($16.02). I cant say it would top a capacitive discharge setup but it runs flawless for me & was cheap.
