Do as I suggested earlier and mill a recessed area around the port for the plates to sit in. shruggy That's probably more expense then what you want to spend though. My father-in-law has a mill in his garage. I've thought about having him do what I suggested. It would be pretty easy to do. Then if the plates sit a little lower then the flange, you could smear some high temp silicone over them. That might insulate them from the heat and extend their life expectancy.
