problem is that ive already ordered the gaskets with heat riser already blocked. if i stick that steel shim in ther, Wont it bulge out too much..
i suppose I could cut it out so theres a tiny overhang (1/8" all around). I could try it. it just that I know my heads were milled and the intake surface probably wasnt done (or wasnt milled enough) so its a real [Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean] to get the intake on as it is. I need to start certain bolts that want to cross thread because of the angle they go in at. then once i get a few started, i tighten them up and it pulls the intake down so i can get the others in. in any event, its not easy so the thinner I am on the gasket surfaces, the better off it will be bolting the intake on
