When one of my co workers was rebuilding his 5.9 Magnum engine, we found Gen II Viper rod/piston assemblies with rings and bearings for $32.00 each. Same rod as Magnum, flat top, no eyebrow pistons, which made it slightly higher compression than Magnum piston. Works fine. Still running today. I bought a set of MP 4.500 bore by 4.500 stroke forged pistons for $225. Last set available.


I ran a NEW set of viper rods and balanced them
and shot peened.. one broke in half.. just a
glorified stock rod.. I wont use anything but a
H beam
