I was watching this post as I have a casual friend with a 72 Challenger that he had restored by a shop that shall remain nameless. They lost the Vin tag and dash pad that it was attached to. He hasn't had any issues as he hasn't tried to sell the car but somewhere down the road it will be an issue for someone.
