Find any power or see any e.t difference? If you were using vacuum pump did you remove it?

I've been using a drysump system for better than 15 years...can't say I saw any et. Differance at all, but the biggest single thing that sold me was having oil psi. In the shut down area... Other advantages as talked about above we're easy priming of the oil system, cooler oil with volume , oil with less air intrained in it... As far as taking the vacuum pump off... My motor pulls 17" of vacuum with
both the oil pump and vacuum pump... Take the belt off the vacuum pump the the motor drops to 8" of vacuum
and looses 25 hp.

If 9 lbs of vacuum is costing you 25hp....I believe I would take it back to your builder and tell him to fix it.
