For a track only car a vertical shock is far better
due to the applied load angles... the shocks laying
over works great for cornering.. that would be the
applied load direction with a leaf spring where the
body can roll... with a ladder bar.. the bars take
the roll (or the lack of it)... a 4-link can have
roll with out a anti roll bar
