"Bad day in black rock" yesterday for me. First trip down the track and the alternator decided not to work above 5,000 rpm. My ignition don't work on 12 volts, so lots of candles went out. Made one more pass to verify the problem - shifting way early at 6200 rpm. Car farted down the track to a 10.71 @ 126.31. My spare alternator sat in the attic at home, so my day was over. I thought the track prep was excellent on Saturday - everything else was a little f--ked up - second pass down the track not until 2.30pm ???? ET slips in a bucket at the tower????? When you pay good $ to race, that crap shouldn't be going on.
Understand the pro stock cars, will be doing some T&Ting at Wildhorse on Feb 3,4,5. Anyone know if the track will be open to spectators on those days?
