back in 1976 I bought my 48 morris van with a 289 in it
and over the next winter I changed it over to a 318,
sold the ford for $600. and bought a 318 with less than 10K mi on it for $300.

I know it might be a little more work right now than to just drop the old engine back in, but I think it would be worth the effort, just my
