Been doing a lot of research lately on VON numbers and am seeing a pattern that certain regions got pads of order forms that were very close. I believe that the regional office gave out the order pads to the dealers so if cars are from the same region they should have close VON's. This is not a hard and fast rule however, let me give some examples, these are all 1970 Dart's built at the Windsor Plant:

1970 Dodge Dart 4 Door, LH41C0R, SPD B14, sold at Pauley Motors in Shelton, WA - VON is 071482
1970 Dodge Dart 2 Door, LH23G0R, SPD B18, sold at Valley Motors in Auburn, WA - VON is 071523

As you can see very close VON numbers and both were ordered cars. Next example that is just going to confuse people because the VON's are way off from the same dealer:

1970 Dodge Dart 4 Door, LH41C0R, SPD 204, Sold at Tacoma Dodge in Tacoma, WA - VON is 092891
1970 Dodge Dart 4 Door, LH41C0R, SPD 212, Sold at Pauley Motors in Shelton, WA - VON is 093058

It looks like NW cars had at least two different pads of numbers to go from, Pauley Motors also had VON's of 093055, SPD B07, 071463, SPD B14, 093056, SPD 410, 093057, SPD 430, and 093059, SPD 525 which were all 1970 Dodge Dart's. Barry Washington has told me that Mr. Norm's also had two different runs of VON's as well.

If anybody has any dealer paperwork from a 1970 Dart with VON's that are close I'd love to see them. The key is knowing what dealer they came from.
