Wow, that should be a lot of fun!
My one concern with that car could be tire size in the rear. However if you move the springs inward you can get a 10.5 tire on it.

Piston wise I would look at KB, good price should be nice and have decent valve reliefs built into it for a decent cam.

I guess my question is why not a solid roller? A lot of guys on here run them and seem to have great street manner as well.

Converter: I would suggest PTC (I have had good history with them) I would look at 3800 to 4000 stall

Carb: I would suggest Holley 750 DP with time on the dyno to get it right.

Tires: M/T street radials are awesome on the street and don't burn up just looking at them like a set of BFG's will on a nice day.
