I know where i can find the spring for the carb, but where can I find the spring that attaches to the bell housing on the transmission to the kick down arm on the valve body. This is for a 904 transmission if that makes a difference.

mine's an internal spring? The arm returns itself.

There is no linkage return spring at the transmission end, the linkage return spring is at the carburetor end.

I pulled a 46RE out of a 2001 van this weekend, it had a spring on the pressure lever that went up to a small bracket where the shifter pivot rod bolts to the transmission. I looked at an old 727 in the garage and noticed the lever had the same hole in it that the spring was attached to.

For what ever it is worth.
