When I got my block I was asked if I wanted this provision milled into the block , I chose to put it in there . Did not want to modify my new pan , not that it is the wrong thing to do but why change . Gary a dipstick is a potential vacuum leak.. maybe a sight window in oil pan

Well a dipstick is without a doubt a potential vacuum leak, does that mean it will leak not necessarily. FWIW I've never run a dipstick on an aftermarket block, just for that reason. If you feel the need to use one then by all means do, just remember it is a potential area for vacuum to leak.

I've never used a dipstick on a race motor. If I were worried about it, I'd put a plug in the pan like a rear end uses.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I have a factory lo deck with the dip stick and tube and yes it leaked vaccume, so I removed the dip stick and put a tight fitting rubber cap on the tube and hung the stick in the trailer. that way I can check the oil when I feel the need.
