Easy rhyme to remember;
The solid mast was new
For 1972 How would a 70 PM43 have had a fixed mast antenna? .Car was bought new in 6-70 R11 radio.

Not sure where I got it, but I have a "4" piece telescoping antenna . . . it reaches the stratoshpere . . . ha ha ha, not sure what it would have come on, or even where I ended up picking it up . . . it is the screw in type, like the single mast . . . Here are pics of the big long 4 piece antenna . . . 76" total length when extended !

Solid mast started before 72 are you 100% sure on this? so all A Bodies before 72 are telescoping

Think that 69 or 70 started the single solid mast antenna . . . Not 69 cars. Maybe it started sometime in 70 or 71 but not in 69.

Mopar dealers sold an extra height, telescoping antenna, for areas with poor radio reception. For the post above that has the extra long piece, that is probably what it is. A little thicker as well
