Is the marking stamped into the metal or written/stenciled?

The stampings are pretty much useless for identifying the converter. Diameter and weights give a clue but that's all.
A "stock" '71 440 would have no weights on the converter face but could have thin weights on the periphery.

with two square weights on the face (engine side) that measure 3/4" x 1-1/4" x 1/8". As I stated, a pre-'73 440 should have no external balance weights on the converter. Either the forged crank has been replaced with a cast or the weighted converter was installed on a forged crank by mistake.

The "heavy rod" motor is an exception but the weights you describe are way more than that motor needs (about twice as much).
