Is there a way to identify the shifter by the numbels on it? Also mine has a grease zerk fitting on it, is that stock or something added.

I am not sure about this either, but I have the same shifter for one of my Coronet R/T's. I thought it was the wrong shifter for this application. I was going to call Wayne Brewer and ask him.

Handle is correct but box is 73 & up.
The only thing 73 up that would use that box is A/F body ... I've also seen the zerk on pickup truck inland shifters ...
But as said it's not a musclecar era box.

This box is identical to the 68-9 B Hurst box except for the grease fitting. Those were used in the later A/F cars and trucks/vans.

I'd pretty much agree. I'd always thought that the decoding went as thus:
2336= '64-'65 A & B Body
6353= '68-'69 B Body and '68-up A body
7174= '70 only B Body
7180= '70-'74 E Body and '71-up B Body

No, it is factory install. Likely someone replaced a worn out box with a new one at some time.

I installed one of those boxes in my 69 Dart in place of the original ... it was an NOS I got off ebay, I had to adjust the reverse rod out a number of turns from factory install, like to the end of the rod. It worked ok, but the sweep of the arm on the one I had was different?
