everything works except turn signals and the gauges, lights in the cluster work & lights work inside and out and it will turn the engine over but as far the gauges reading they don't in any of the positions & turn signals only work in accesories but won't in the on position & the blower motor won't work & yes it does work when directly to the battery, out of ideas on what it could be

Checked all grounds they are good. Checked all the gauges before install they were good. Wiper motor only works in accessories as well only thing left to check is bulkhead connector

What would keep the gauges from not reading at all & turn signals, wiper motor & blower motor not working in the on position?

check the fuse box for the gauge fuse.

have a look at the fusable links and take the bulk head connection apart and check each wire connector.

I been chasing sorta the same problem on my 85..everything works till the headlights comes on then no rear brake/turn sigs. brake light are on though.

changed everything but headlight switch on mine.

that's next on the list.

The blower if it has power to the switch its probally the switch.I dont know how many I replaced in mine and customers trucks.Look at the amp gauge also.they do burn. The ign switchs were problems also.

It was the ignition switch but blower motor still doesn't work unless I hook it directly to battery

Blower motor resistor is behind the glove box. Or it could be the master HVAC control switch. I can't recall the fan switch on any of my trucks ever going out.

bet it's the dash switch, I've had a couple go bad. And anytime I'm in a boneyard, I always look inside a truck for a spare switch, and they are almost always already gone. Usually the high terminal melts off.Or the plastic mounts break.
