Have you replaced the alternator recently? I swapped my stock alt to a Powermaster and on HARD acceleration I found the belt was pulling the alternator in and the post on the back was grounding on the cylinder head and shutting the car off.

I've had the same thing happen on vehicles with blocked fuel lines. One had the fuel pick up tube in the tank clogged with rust an the other was in the main fuel line running to the front of the car.

another one that bit me was too small / restricted air cleaner
