yep , it is starving . elect fuel pump near the tank will cure the problem . i like the carter 4594. no regulator needed. place a on off switch under dash use for

I'll ask something because it happened on my 70 440 as well.
Have you replaced the alternator recently? I swapped my stock alt to a Powermaster and on HARD acceleration I found the belt was pulling the alternator in and the post on the back was grounding on the cylinder head and shutting the car off.
