Got a persistent water leak, passenger side foot well; been in to the body shop several time for this, last time into the shop I was hoping they got it.........NOT. Was out with my wife; went thru a light rain, the Jeep was parked during the shower (the lot was flat), we went on to some other errands, parked, came out backed out from where we were parked, went up a slight grade and heard water gurgling like a jug in a water cooler and the passenger foot well was soaked again!!

Any body got any ideas??

Thanks,

Jim Burch

Make sure the drain for the evap box is open.Sounds like water is building up in it and then coming out instead of draining.Usually from the vents is how it gets in.Rocky

The shop has unplugged/fished out every drain imaginable; last trip in they found a crack in the firewall, thought they might have it that time, then I heard the gurgle.

Any body else have any ideas??

Thanks.

Water could be getting trapped in the cowl area. check down by the lower door hinges for leaves, put the garden hose up by the wipers and see if the water drains out by the lower hinge area. Sun roof? If so check the drain tube. In the picture the regular cowl drains would be in the same area between the lower fender and the cowl side.

Just went through this with mine.Found enough leaves and pine straw in the cowl area to build a nest.Open the doors and blow air through there and from the top as much as possible.
I will know if it is fixed next time it rains.

take wiper off, cowl cover off, shove a vacuum hose down between fender and cowl and it should get all the stuff out

Nice find!I will have to try that as cleaning the cowl did not fix mine.
