Ever consider the auto salvage yards? Nearly new batteries for $30-$35.

I have had good luck with Die Hard and Interstate for years.

My marine Sears die hard lived in my race-car for 7 years no alternator recharge after every round then lasted another 3 years in my trailer. But I tore up 3-4 starters every year & at least one flywheel per year using it,from kick back when starting the engine.Went to a 16 Volt have not had any engine kick back nor broke any starters. My Rock battery died this year after 3 years of service. After do as much research as I could it come down to either the 16 volt Rock or XS battery.I picked the Rock again because it has 1,050 CCA VS XS 675 CCA,The tech. @ Rock said it needed 12-15 mins between rounds to fully recharge, the tech. @ XS said their battery needed 25-30 mins. between rounds to fully recharge.

I have 2 Mopar batteries in my car... Might need that second one after the other one fails. But they've been there for 5 years now. I run a 90 amp alternator and use a battery tender when it sits. I never need to charge them at the track.

If you don't run an alternator....I strongly suggest a drycell such as Odyssey
Rickster
Yes, the odyssey batteries are very good batteries...
The sears Die hard "Platinum" battery is the same exact thing as an Odyssey battery, only a 100 bucks cheaper....made in the same exact plant, same materials, same AGM technology, just with the sears platinum badging...
I have one in my mopar, and that is the best battery iv'e ever owned.

That is a great price....but I prefer the Odyssey PC1200MJT it's only 38lbs compared to 53lbs and the the posts are a better setup in my opinion $266.00

Really? I was going to replace mine that's been sitting dormant for the last 3 years (and assumed to have gone bad) w/ another one because I actually had good results with it. If they're not as good now as the original one I bought 5 years ago, that's too bad.
FWIW, my family's daily drivers all have either Interstate or Die Hards in them and the Interstates have generally lasted right about 5 years before needing replacement.

Brad...They tried to sell me another Optima. I told him no thanks...I think the one he tried to sell me was like my old one...160.00!!
Yeah, I think the one I bought around 2007-2008 was close to $150, so that's not surprising.
