440-2 indy- second thought with those pistons, lower RPM, dual plane single from indy, not sure of the numbers. I'm sure there are other good dual planes to use.

Wow 6.22 in the 1/8th....But mph is low at only 101?
We ran 6.61 last week at over 102mph. I have to look and see, but I am pretty sure we had one time slip at 103mph, but our gearing is for 1/4 racing. I am impressed so far, and I am sure 6.50's are just a couple hundred rpm higher on the launch, but I leave nice and easy on it while we dial in the 4-link. I had to actually abort one run as we got the shock damping too tight, but we made some nice progress on the next couple of passes. So far the best 60ft has been a 1.465s...

Why would the max wedge be down on HP ?over a single four?stock 426 max wedge was at 415 or 426 HP This is a good 440 with good pistons and good cam 590-625 roller .The EZ-1 heads would not keep the HP around 425 ?or more ?
That manifold is a restriction, if nothing has been done to it. The newer single plane intakes will outflow them. I know they are great for the cool factor, but for performance they are down. Read AndyF's book, he did back to back dyno tests, down 80HP.

Hey the piston or speed pro L2355 030 , read end 456 , tire or quick time 18/5 -31 two 625 on the max wedge intake should work you think with eather cam 590 or 625 roller .I have the max wedge intake and would have to buy the Indy one. Trying to save me some money .Thats all
I'm not a big fan of using six pack pistons in a engine with big heads and big cam. Too heavy.

As i found out to my cost, my old 440, stock 6 pack rods, 6 pack pistons, ported iron heads, then later edelbrocks, Crane R280 Roller. Revved it to 7000 trying to get in the 10's, spun a bearing and a rod exited the sump. New 440, smaller flat tappet cam, better recriprocating assembly, more comp, old heads int and carb, time in sig and i think there's maybe a 10.1 in the car, shift at 6200 trap at 6500. Mick

5.95@114 at 3300lbs footbraking with a 499" on race gas. They are the EZ-1's cnc ported by Modern. The cam is to small for the motor but seems to work well. The car is at the chassis shop now getting a backhalf done to it then I can up the cam and switch to e-85.
