This thread brings back memories. I recall the deal with the HemiTA aircleaner. I never really did advertise that particular Hemi TA base in Hemmings but did advertise an NOS 3512058 A12 liftoff assembly along with a bunch of NOS shaker parts.
I received a call from a gentleman who had heard I had one of the Hemi TA bases.
I really didn't want to sell it because it was so unique.
But the gentleman assured me it was going on a factory Hemi TA hooded Challenger. He even gave me the history of the car. Since I knew it was going to a good home I caved and we made the deal. I could never remember who got it or what happened afterwards because this would have been in the mid 80's.
Now I know as they say "the rest of the story".
Here is an old picture of the NOS Hemi TA base in the background with some other cool NOS air cleaners. I liked the fact that that Hemi TA base had a really neat large yellow "Made in Canada" stamp unlike the other common stamp seen on the majority of the other air cleaners.
