Here is a close up of the retainers. These are the new tool steel retainers from Comp. Part number 1732, cost about $170 from Mancini Racing. They weigh 22 grams which is only 2 grams heavier than Ti retainers but they are a lot cheaper. Also, they hold up to flat wire dampers better than the Ti retainers. I'll probably start using these retainers in any motor that takes a dual spring.
