I will say results will vary though...about the 5th time I did it the bearing where done..but not from water...from sand in the muddy water

I have pulled a plug and drained almost 4 gallons of water out of one that sat uncoverd..puled the pan and to my dismay it was not that bad inside for milky slug and rust..rather clean

its been running every day for 3 months now with no problems..

I would run it till it get up to temp and just change the filter and oil again,then maybe after I drive it a couple miles do it again just to make sure..




That's what I was thinking let it get up to temp and then drain it all out again.
I don't think that internaly it's hurt like you said with your experiance.I will warm it up and then dump the oil while it's still on the lift.I still have to finnish puttn the rest of the little stuff back on tonight.
I drained all the water out before I even started so I think whats left is just the milky residue that was stuck in the pan.Well I will try this when i get home and see what happens.
