Got the K Frame all reassembled, the wiring in place, the hood latch and lower grille mount in place as well.


And the bumper resto too. I'll get to the dent removal later.

I removed all the bracketry, wire wheeled off all the rust scale naval jellied, washed, primed with high-zinc primer, and then the raw steel parts were semi-glossed, the back of the chrome parts was shot with "aluminum" over the high-zinc.

My brother's birthday is soon, so I did the replacement bumper for his Challenger, too. My camera's battery died so I do not have any pics of the finished product but it looks AWESOME!











As for the dent removal...See that dent in the upper corner?

GONE!




There was also a dent behind the front plate where it looked like they used the Duster to push someone by the trailer hitch. Also gone now. You can see where I beat it with a wood block and a sledge. The corner was done on a 2x4 with a steel bodywork dolly and a sledge.

Not too shabby for a cheap hack with a spray-painted '73 A Body 318 car..
