Some of you know Sheffield Labs recordings, they are direct to the cutting lathe with NO pauses from one cut or tune or recording to the next on each side. Sometimes you can hear the sheet music pages being turned between cuts as it keeps "recording" One time I heard something that was dropped like a drum stick but the cutter keeps on going. The dynamic range of the direct to disc recordings can really only be "felt" and heard when you play the vinyl album on a turntable. If you don't have a Sheffield Lab direct to disc or similar DTD vinyl record you should get one and hear the difference.........at least once smile
