i put ladder bars and coil overs on my 71 dart. I did just that...left the leaf springs on to keep the rear end in place... i removed the rear shackles that allowed me to raise the rear...or lower the car to set the ride hight..

also made and installed frame connectors out of 2 x3 box tubing...I did not have to cut the floor but i tied the roll bar into the frame connector ..
