The springs I used are PAC 1325 valve springs.
These are 1.55" diameter, 150 lbs @ 2.00", 765 lbs @ 1.20", good for 0.800" lift.

The Edelbrock head valve seats are cut to handle larger diameter springs, but I am not sure about rocker arm clearance with 1.625" springs?

Here you can see how close the springs are to the rockers on the shaft.



Brian measured, and my 1.7 T&D's would have cleared 1.625 springs. If I had gone with a bigger cam, we probably would have gone with the 1.625's, but since it is "smallish", we used 1.55's.
