Didn't have to do a lot to the carb. It is a new 8896-1. Jetted 88 square out of the box. Didn't touch the air bleeds.

Initial pulls were with 34 degrees timing.

Pull to 6000 netted 728hp at 6000, 675 tq at 4900 & 5000.

Went down to 32 on the timing pulled to 6500, 738 at 6000 and 754 hp at 6500, torque peak stayed at 4900 and went to 681.

Plugged the rear power valve and jetted it 86/94. 760 @ 6400, 682 @ 4900 (and 5000).

Went up to 96 (now 86/96) in the rear. 768 @ 6500, 683 @ 5000.

That will be my baseline setting.

Converter is a 8" PTC that flashed to 5200 behind the old combo (550ish hp), so it should work pretty good with this one as well.
