Interesting to see what the issue will be. I ran a 160 degree thermostat in my 451 engine. Sounds more like a fuel level/vapor problem. I can say that I have had problems with the Mopar Electronic ignitions, but not as you are describing. I have CD ignition systems (MSD, Crane) on my cars. The multi-spark at low RPM helps clean up the idle.
