He wasn't sleeping. The trans was hurt in the Vette after the second round and it was completely toast in final. Coulda, shoulda, woulda but Kye had nothing for the Vette, had it made a clean pass. It was fastest car by far all night. We were going to pull the trans from the Reaper car for him in the final, but he thought it would make it...........didn't. Car didn't move when he let go of it.

They ALL dodged a bullet when the El Camino had a bad draw first round. That car is BAD fast and it was their first time on the street. They misjudged the road and had it WAY soft. If they would have had a "duck" first round and got another crack at road, it could have been the car to beat. He had a couple top notch tuners there and they just didn't think the road was THAT good. The road also cost Reaper and Doc. They were both WAY too soft and the cars dead hooked and shook the tires at the hit.

Can't give out much info, except to say that Doc has made some suspension changes since that night and the big Monte is flat out flying right now.

Had to get several of them to go away from their "street" setups, to more of a race oriented deal, because those roads get pretty damn good, after a lot of "pimp juice" burnouts and the rubber starts sticking. A bunch of them were just crushing the tires and shaking. Even on a road.......wheel speed is your friend with a big tire and a lot of power.

The weekend after Cash Days, Doc made some changes at the track while doing an appearance and the car rang up some high 1.0 sixty foots and that is the setup he is running on street now
