Update...

Everything is now bolted to the car. I have to say I had a good time with this project, everything went so smooth ... -Yeah, right

The car looks good with the -1" springs, the 30" tire really fills up the wheelwell.

..Mounted the shocks and everything looked great, then I let the car down and noticed that the shocks are to long ...about 20 minutes of cursing followed.. I ordered the wrong length shocks. These are AFCO #3890, these would be OK if Id run SS springs, but to long with the -1" Calvert springs...



..what I should have done is waited untill I had mounted the Cal-Tracks, then checked the ridehight and decided what shocks to buy



Measured the bolt to bolt lenght and its 17.7", so my question is now, should I order the 7" or the 8" stroke shock

7" AFCO # 3870 Extended Length (in):20.900 in.
Collapsed Length (in):13.900 in.

or

8" AFCO # 3880 Extended Length (in):22.900 in.
Collapsed Length (in):14.900 in.

-What do I need to do to get and understanding of what extended length shock I need? Do I just jack up the rear of the car and... -What?
