If your MAN/Auto switch is in Auto and the foot switch is engaged....it drifts into overdrive on its own everytime at 52mph. It disengages on its own and re-engages....If you are in OD and you want to go back to third without putting your footdown, hit the foot switch and it goes back on its. I guess this is helpful when you are towing up a slight grade and you want more speed.
