I didn't balance a set of slicks once. Drove 85 miles to the track, made one bouncy pass. Drove home and THEN balanced the slicks. I figure that balance job cost me an easy $120, a wasted day, and a day not racing. This was the gamble for a $15 balance job. I'm not willing to gamble that way any more.
