Later switch. The later comb has an extra contact point to turn on the back up lights. So yeah now you can see the rooster comb would need to be replaced as well, as the extra point for reverse is between the park and neutral. Basically this comb is longer and has an extra tab. Just swap both and eliminate the back-up light wires from the system. I suppose the valvebody might need to be switched as well(?)
When the weather gets warmer, I will pull both apart and see just what needs to be done.
Still, never say can't , say how .
Of course the $45.oo dollar price isn't looking as bad. Might get a couple of those myself. Don't see 'em getting any cheaper.
