Strange, thats a totally different fender to cowl support.

Yours doesn't have the factory holes and has a long groove down the middle opposed to the ridge. The factory stamped hole in mine where yours is, is too large for the sheet metal screw.

Maybe your car is an ealier build. Mines a Sept 70 build and that blue car is a '72 model.
