Thats the only hole that the self tapping screw would fit. Check out the picture of this other car below.

That hole also corresponds with everything I've read and seen so far. I think its more than 3 3/4" inches closer to the front of the car and therefore would make the lanyard looser, not tighter.

Do you have a picture of where yours mounts?
