Have this pair of carbs for the 426 Hemi with cross ram intake. Any idea what these holes were for on each throttle venturi above the throttle plates? Pointer showing holes and have never seen this on other Holley carbs.

It would have been a great looking Charger when brand new. Body looks pretty clean, and the car looks to be pretty much all there. Interior is toasty. Thought's??
