Prince_Valiant OP top fuel Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,665 Milwaukee, WI	Working w/ a 79 volare... How can I tell which one I have? It's not a lock-up trans, that much I know... does it matter? There's a lot of grime on this trans, so I'm sure they'll pop up once we clean it a bit, but it's not too obvious where they are now... thanks for the info...I'll post up the numbers when we find them

Found that link in another trans ID thread here: https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...rue#Post6466924 As far as ID to get the right parts - It depends on how much you'll be replacing. Look at the listing for various parts kits, the application dates will tell you how far they cover, and the exact year/model might not matter (like on a seal/gasket kit). But if you're putting clutches in, you'd need to know if it was a 5-disc police unit or not. Last edited by Fury Fan; 02/10/11 05:38 PM.
