How will this dome work out on W5s? It looks like it will have a void area in the heart shape of W5 and the spark plug may fall on the edge of the dome, Any chance of a pic of a W5 chamber next to this piston

Having a solid dome, recontouring to fit the less popular applications is possible. It should fit 90% of the stuff out there as is, the minor rework needed for the other 10% is easily offset in the cost savings of a shelf stock part. Even with a "fits all" dome there will always be a small portion of the market that will need slight rework or a custom piston to fit the application. Thinking here is you can always take material away, can't put it back.

Still trying to figure out how to make screw on dome pistons...

This is a huge deal for me because I run the Ross piston and will have to bore mine this coming winter. Ryan is just awesome for posting all this stuff. I now have several pieces on my engine because of posts by him. Heck I was running the wrong oil filter mount on my R block and didnt even know till I read one of his posts. If I ever step this engine up with a new set of heads; I know where I am going.

Cometic is all I use above 11:1

They are waiting for new batch of Forgings, but if you "need" a set ASAP, they are willing to do run of Customs in this spec for same cost until they get caught back up on forgings. The new forgings are supposed to be few weeks out & will have a .250" exhaust pocket for increased piston to valve with the bigger cams.

You would be closer to 13:1 with the Ross domed pistons so my gut says you would be close to the same with these from the info Ryan has given thus far.

Due date for all oversizes is 3/18/11 for finished parts in all oversizes. We did some internal milling to take some weight out with added dome rise that is needed to compensate for the deeper valve pocket. Wound up a little lighter than the samples sent to Ryan, Indy, Muscle Motors, Bob G, Koffel, Hughes, and Compuflow.

Should be able to order through any distributor with K0011B3/4/6/8 or 100 oversize part numbers and includes piston, rings, and clips.

.927" pin versions do not have a part number as of yet, but in process.

As a side note 318 flat top and dish parts are on the way for 4.00" stroker combos in the Pro Tru line.

Please, where can I buy these pistons? How much it costs? I'm looking for these pistons with 4.040.
For 318 stroker, with 3.970 bore, do you know where to buy dome pistons, to reach 14.5:1 desired compression, with 68 cc heads?

Any update on the pistons.

Koffel has used two sets. They are solid domes so they can be milled to be "0"cc's if need be. They are 8cc out of the box.
