Im on my third set of CalTracs and really like the way they work but cant stand the ride height. I have the lowered mono-leafs and still dont like the look. I moved the spring mounts another 1" up in the frame also. Is my only option ladder bars/4-link or could I use lowering blocks on the springs?

I have seen some mid 9 second NSS cars running lowering block with Cal-Tracs. It didn't look real strong to me but these guys run some serious HP numbers so what do I know.

Yes, and centered the rearend. These cars tend to have the rear off-centered

Yes, they are the 1" lowered ride height. That was the lowest when I got them.

Might want to call them and see if you can get
a 2" lower set of springs... Caltracs seems to be
a good company and tries to help out

We have called them. The 1" lower spring is all they make at the time. I have also read on other posts that is doesnt work great running lowering blocks...
May just go back to ladder bars.

Did the blocks change the way it acted? Would it still pull the front tires?

Perhaps, but he seems concerned of whether it will affect the setup. A 1" block will certainly lower the car, kinda goes without asking. I was posting a working example of one on blocks.

As far as the car (actually a truck) differences go with or without the blocks. The blocks put more leverage on the Caltrac and make them push harder. The end result depends on the tune. We can drag the bumper, spin, or leave with the wheels slightly off the ground. More tune-up than anything else. It didn't make it more prone to standing up tho, but we already had that worked out before.
