I think it ran very well for the combination. However, if it was in the 10s, it was just squeaking in to the high 10.9s based on what my own results were. Your 60-fts were better, but my MPHs were better.
1.46 7.00 95.6 1.45 6.987 95.5 1.43 6.94 96
vs.
1.518 6.960 97.47 11.003 121.01 1.518 6.998 96.78 11.067 120.14 1.512 6.998 98.06 11.043 120.85 1.521 6.995 97.04 11.046 121.11 1.542 7.012 97.87 11.044 121.70 1.530 6.993 97.93 11.026 121.49 1.528 6.963 98.39 10.973 122.51
My calculations for Brians 6.94 1/8th mile run equals 10.895,not high 10.9's. With some tuning, could go 10.70's-10.60's

Brian....Your duster hooks HARD!!!!!! Whats the suspension again??
Do you remember what rpm's you shifted at??
Ladder bar/coil over and loose front end.
That's the funny part. First run I overran the shift points bad! I shifted into 2nd gear at 6800rpm and 3rd was about 6300rpm. Next time I shifted at 5800-5900 and last run I shifted 6200rpm.

Well, I guess your Duster is fast without much power. I wonder what id run with a good 410, or a 318 for that matter. -dulcich
Ok your turn Steve, lets see your "good" 410 sb in a car running down the track, video please

I think he's the guy who just inserted his foot into his mouth on "Unlawfls' Race Only" forum.
Welcome to the real world, Steve, where quarter mile times are required to back up your claims.
Geez dont you guys read MM?
I think steves remarks are tongue in cheek, brian does'nt seem to bothered by it..bring on the match race!!

Maybe we could have a good matchrace; I'll spot you 84 cubes and run a 318 (326) with leafs. -dulcich
I will come down and see that one for myself. I'd like to see a 318 (that's pumped for cylinder displacement) run those numbers that has...
1) 91 swill in the tank 2) An iron "replacement" head 3) Hydraulic cam 4) Same weight car 5) Through the muffs 6) Similar 10" converter
Yea, I read that the 400 HP ( ) 318 went 500 with the bottle, but you'd have to leave that at home this time.
With all due respect, (stratch that; you don't deserve any) the time clocks at Irwindale aren't near as "happy" as that bench and dyno that you use in all your Magazine stuff...

Dulcich is most likely pimping this ride. This was off the Supercharger Store site.
The Supercharger Store has teamed up with Mopar Muscle Magazine and Hughes Engines to show you how to build STOUT BIG BLOCK POWER in a 318 and have awesome performance and great fuel economy in the same package
Bring something similar to the IMM build, of course he wouldn't! No naturally aspirated, no power adder engine. I guess that stout 400hp 318 isn't good enough.
Spot someone cubes then toss a supercharger on it, that's apples to apples. ---------------------------------------------- This engine was featured in the March 2010 issue of Car Craft magazine and will be the sunject of a full feature in Mopar Muscle magazine. Here are the actual numbers: No Supercharger: 370 HP and 349 ft/lb torque With Supercharger: 662 HP and 587 ft/lb of torque ----------------------------------------------
I expected something like this or a 318 like Mazz ran in his SS/GT car. Somebody thinks most of us fell off the turnip truck yesterday...
