I am the Chairman of the Board for our local track, ESTA Safety Park Dragstrip in Syracuse, and believe me, we have been thru hell with neigbors at times, and you will want some town members that truely understand how this affects ( positively) the "locals". Good news. RIP Monte Smith Your work is a reflection of yourself, autograph it with quality. Hopefully in a few years we won't have to go any further than Long Island. To think that this $%##@ city just demolished two perfect and historical Stadiums to built two new ones just for throwing balls, and in the mean while young people with a real need for a Drag strip get nothing, but the choice of the street. Noise! what noise is so different from ranting crowds and traffic coming out of a ball park whether they win or lose a game. Don't get me wrong or started, I for one love Baseball, but this is a Sports type of town with all the noise it creates period and having a Drag strip within reasonable reach will only create revenue and safer streets.

We haven't given up here and continue to hope it'll happen, but be prepared for a long drawn out process trying to accomplish your goal. I wish you the best of luck in your venture. I'd love to take the ferry ride over with the racecar to do some racing. Used to go to NY National in the early 70's before moving to CT. I signed last night- #172
