why would you build a race block that wont except roller lifters without a lot of grinding?
Same reason MP did it with the R3's.
Order a 48 if you want ease of roller lifter installation....
To be honest, not alot of applications I'd ever order a 59* block for these days. Stock J/X/Edelbrock head apps that would be about it.
I'm doing a hyd roller 59* XR1 for member, but am not doing link bar lifters in it
Just knowing how much issue Kent has had with the castings in the valley area, I probably will never do a 59* XR1 with link bar solid rollers. If I do, the sonic tester will be used heavily...
This post reminds me I need to talk to Kent about our royalty checks now that blocks are shipping LOL.

No magnum motor mounts lots of late model truck guys won't be able to use the block easily. Looks like it could be a good deal on a nice block.

Yes... just need to clearance heads for pushrods. More rocker ratio you run, the easier it is. (less clearancing)

That was one of my wishes for this block. Truck guys are gonna have to stick to R blocks or fab some different mounts.

So these must all use pushrod oiling now it looks like? I don't see the standard head oiling feed in the block.
I like the cam tunnel being blocked off. I wonder how much power that windage is worth?
Also, it's nice to see the HUGE water jacket holes gone from the front of the deck...
Yeah I like the cam tunnel oil return I'm assuming the the hole at the front is the oil supply port like a R-3 dry sump block(they referred to it as oil pressure, where I would call it oil supply OR oil IN)... sure looks beefy up in the lifter valley

only problem I see with the high dolar cast blocks is you can loose them with a broken rod bolt or something. no way to repair them. by the time everything is said and done it will be close to 5k
At one time ryan was going to do my engine with a 48* r3 with the 4.250 bore+/- and the 4.250 stroke, then i found that the r3 block needed extencive work/money.So i took the 59* x block to finish my 449.....We need to see someone build an engine from a to z around this block,so we can have an idea of how much coin is going to need...
