I know free is nice and all BUT if he is giving you that stuff with the stipulation you "HAVE" to use it in your car I would pass on the stuff and look for some cheap or free mopar stuff to use in the car or find a GM car to use the chevy stuff. I know its been done many,many times befor but Me personally,I would never use a Gm drivetrain in any of my mopars, If I had a GM drivetrain I would find a GM to put it in  Thats just me  so on to your questions, I have put camaro subframes under mopars but I like the Mustang II style frontends better. and I don't care for the 12 bolt rear ends with the "C" clips, a 8 3/4 is stronger and better to narrow, but you could have ford or mopar ends put on a 12 bolt, but you need the right axels to be able to shorten them or get after market ones(not cheap) Ron...

early stangs got an 8 inch, 4 1/2 bolt pattern,,and from what ive read drop right in to a mopar A body

Having put an F body front clip under a 35 Dodge, I can tell you they are too wide, and the torsion bars and subframe brackest extend beyond the front fenders of the mid 30s sheetmetal. There are other issues with the F body clip as well. Though they can be made to work, sort of, they are not the best choice for early (or any in my opinoin) street rod. And I'm a hard core Mopar guy. I believe you're right there Gene . Maybe the article was for putting one under a late 40's , early 50's car which is a tad wider

Camaro stub will be way to wide for a 36. Sell the 12 bolt and get a Ford 9" or an 8 3/4 to narrow. I'm also a fan of the Mustang II front end but it's your car. I think you'll find that "free" will actually cost you more before it's all said and done.
