If all else fails. I had a1974 D100 without the factory front sway bar. I'm not sure what year trucks have the same frames. Well, I wanted a larger diameter anyway. I bought a 1.125" bar from a '72 Chevy C10. It came with mounting brackets, which I bolted right to the bottom of the frame rails.
Looked way better than the factory bar hanging down bellow the strut rods. Dilled holes in the lower control arms for the supplied 90 degree brackets. Just had to grind a little clearance on the lower control arms for the end link bolts.
