Seeing that you may live in Cali there are probably tons of rust free shafts available to you. You should be able to find a clean B-body shaft to work with DoctorDiff can hook you up with a nice CM shaft for less than you would think Gus

Aftermarket driveshaft with solid Spicer u-joints and billet steel yoke are good insurance, even if just footbraking. Used driveshafts are still old, "used" and will probably need shortening so you'll be spending some time and money at a driveshaft shop already. Might as well try to upgrade.

Find a local shop that builds and repairs drive shafts for heavy trucks . They can make you one. Luckily here in W Md the shop here builds shafts for the Pro Stick guys. Mine was 250 with the u-joints.

Not sure how much room you have but many trucks have large diameter 1 piece driveshafts (aluminum) you could cut down.

I did the Strange deal through Dr. Diff once and it was fine, but Summit does the same deal cheaper.

And the ONLY people I found that can spin a drive shaft at used rpm is Mark Williams, I threw away a brand new Strange shaft, it had a high speed vibration, called Strange & they FINALLY admitted they can only spin them 500rpm ,so did the alum shaft I had before, did all the pinion angle adjustments ECT.ECT.ECT, got a Mark Williams one built & the car is SMOOTH as glass at 130 mph
